We are thrilled to announce the very first recipients of the Collin E. Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund!
On May 9th, we had the privilege of meeting with two outstanding graduating seniors from Pearland High School, Sarah Blankenship and Brayan Sierra. Their passion for learning and dedication to their chosen fields truly resonated with Collin’s own spirit.
We’re excited to share that both Sarah and Brayan will be awarded scholarships to help support their educational journeys! Details regarding the specific awards will be announced in the coming days.
More Than Just Financial Support
As Charles, Collin’s father, mentioned in a recent post, the Collin E. Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund extends beyond financial aid. “We are also developing a mentorship program to offer ongoing support to our scholarship recipients. This program will provide guidance and encouragement as Sarah and Brayan navigate their two-year programs at San Jacinto Community College or Alvin Community College, ultimately assisting them in securing fulfilling career placements.”
A Legacy of Learning
Sarah and Brayan exemplify the very students Collin’s scholarship aims to empower. Their commitment to education and pursuit of their dreams reflect the values Collin embodied.
We are honored to play a role in their success stories, and we look forward to following their journeys as they continue to learn, grow, and contribute their talents to the world.
Stay tuned! We will be sharing more details about Sarah and Brayan, as well as updates on the mentorship program, in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, thank you to all our supporters who have helped make this possible! Your generosity allows us to keep Collin’s memory alive while empowering future generations to achieve their educational goals.
